Love After Love
The time will come
when, with elation
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror
and each will smile at the other's welcome,
and say, sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you
all your life, whom you ignored
for another, who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,
the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit. Feast on your life.

Rest in Peace Daul Kim
I read her blog a lot.... I found almost every post she wrote interesting... I could tell she always seemed lonely... it's so tragic she let go. This is one of her posts from about a month ago, it stuck to me.
i dont care about being forgotten
i dont care about being loved by everyone
i just want to be loved by someone who can
i want it to last

Apple Cream Pie
Carol 사모님's style! I always loved her apple pie so I asked for her recipe, and made it today. Came out splendid!!

Crust:
1 box 15 oz Pillsbury refrigerated pie crusts, softened as directed on box
Filling:
3/4 cup granulated sugar (I only put 1/2 cup, you can decided how much)
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
6 cups thinly sliced, peeled apples (6 medium)
1/2 cup whipping cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
Topping:
1 egg white, beaten
1 tablespoon coarse sugar or sugar
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 400 degrees, Make pie crusts as directed on box for Two-crust pie using 9-inch pie pan
2. In large bowl, mix granulated sugar, flour and cinnamon; gently stir in apples. In small bowl, mix whipping cream and vanilla. Pour over apple mixture; stir gently to mix well. Spoon into crust-lined pan
3. Top with second pie crust; seal edge and flute. Cut slits or shapes in several places in top crust. Brush top with egg white; sprinkle with coarse sugar.
4. Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown, covering edge with strips of foil after 15 minutes or baking to prevent excessive browning. Cool 1 hour. Enjoy!

NaNoWriMo
This is my book collection (some of it, or at least the pretty ones haha) in my room. These are the ones where I've probably read more than once because they're my favorites. They wouldn't fit into one picture even though I set it to wide so I just smushed them together myself haha. But anyways... It's National Novel Writing Month... 50,000 words by Nov 30th. I'm determined to do it. I probably won't reach 50,000 exactly but I'll be proud if I even get 30,000... I'm only at about 2,000 right now...haha so we'll see. I'll probably fail but ... we'll see how far I get =)
I'm running out of names though...for my fictitious characters lol. I think I already have a title for it and a title idea...but no real plot HHAHAHA. Oh well. That's what literary fiction is right? Plus the always 'dysfunctional' father in the story lolll. Wish me luck...especially since I still have school.. midterms and all...
